About Lídia

Lídia Vives (b. 1991, Lleida) is a Spanish visual artist and photographer based in Barcelona. Her work merges the elegance of classical painting with the audacity of modern photography—where every image feels like a frame from an untold fairytale.

Through surreal self-portraits and rich visual storytelling, she explores identity, femininity, and the space between fantasy and rebellion. Her photographs often contain hidden symbols, visual metaphors, and subtle easter eggs—inviting the viewer to look closer and uncover layered meanings.

Her photographs have been exhibited in galleries across Europe, including the Louvre Museum, and featured in international outlets such as Vogue Italia, Esquire, and Wacom Community.

Available for exhibitions, brand collaborations, editorial campaigns and artistic commissions.

From avant-garde editorials to intimate theatrical commissions, these are some of the collaborators who have trusted my visual universe.

Behind the work

Every image I create is an invitation to pause, decode, and feel.

My work lives between realities—drawing from classical painting, personal memories, pop culture, and dreams that border on nightmares. I use my own body as a stage, but the true protagonists are the symbols, gestures, and hidden layers that challenge the viewer to look again.

I believe photography is not just about capturing beauty, but about triggering emotion, curiosity, and sometimes even discomfort.

Like a visual diary written in allegories, my photographs are meant to be read as much as they are seen.
